Laboratory Technician (Microbiology Department), 3-6 months Temporary Contract.

We are looking for 3-6 months Temporary Contract Laboratory Technician potential permanent job opportunity in the future. Technician with a industrial food production skills to support our team in the day-to-day running of the business.

You will be trained on sampling, testing, measuring, and analysing in cooperation with the rest of our laboratory team. So, it is vital you keep up with the pace.

Skills and qualities: An organised individual, responsible, good time keeping, with an interest in Food science or experience in a catering industry would be an advantage. Experience or qualification is no needed as training will be given.

Job description:

You will be part of a busy laboratory team, testing food, water and swab samples to UKAS, M&S and Tesco microbiological standards. Duties will also include cleaning and tidying of the lab, preparing samples for testing, and assisting Senior Technician/Analyst, Senior Coordinator, Team Leader, and Supervisor with their daily task.

 

 

Start date: January 2024

Contract: 3-6 months Temporary with possible permanent position after.

Salary: £21736

Hours: 40 hours per weeks Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 12:30-21:00pm.

Holiday: 28 days paid holiday (including BH) pro rata
